WELCOME TO THE SILVERSTREAM
Alpaca is internationally recognized as one of the finest and most luxurious fibres in the world. Alpaca fibre is a great insulator of heat, water and wind resistant and due to the elasticity of the fibre, does not lose its shape.
Silverstream have an international reputation for breeding fine, white huacaya alpacas and their genetics can be found throughout Europe and Asia. Silverstream animals have won a total of 70 supreme champion titles including Supreme Champion Animal of Show at the 2007 New Zealand Royal Show in Christchurch.
Only the best fibre (under 21 micron) is used in the production of our garments and all fibre is sourced from our own Silverstream animals.

Fabric Care Guide
How to Care For Your Alpaca Garments
Alpaca wool is not machine washable, as the process can damage the wool. Alpaca garments should always be hand washed.
Soak your alpaca garment with a mild wool soap in a basin.
After the item has soaked, gently agitate and rinse, making sure you support the weight of the item so that it does not stretch.
Squeeze out the excess water, but do not wring so it doesn’t lose its shape, always supporting the item’s weight.
Lay flat to dry, and make sure to reshape the garment accordingly.
Avoid direct sunlight when drying
